World renowned watersports experts, Red Sail Sports, has five locations
in the Caribbean and the Pacific to serve your diving and watersports needs.
Red Sail Sports has a reputation as a leading provider of scuba diving,
but we also offers all kinds of beach toys for our guests’ enjoyment. If you’re on the Big Island of Hawaii, you can enjoy single or double
kayaks. View boards and floatation sun mats allow for exploration of the lagoon
or a relaxing day in the sun. Paddle boats can seat up to five people, and
snorkel sets are available for those who want to check out the marine life.
Guests can also rent bicycles or enjoy the Paniolo Bicycle Adventure.

Paniolo Cycle Adventure
Well-known for adventures on and below the ocean, we now proudly offer
excitement for land lubbers with the Paniolo Cycle Adventure. This tour includes
a 21-speed mountain bike, helmet, water, and a picnic lunch. The ride consists
of rolling hills passing through some of Hawaii’s famous landmarks.
The Red Sail Sports adventure experts begin the ride with a
beautiful drive northward along the coastline. The drive then turns “mauka”
(towards the mountains) through green pastures and cattle ranches that offer
breath-taking views of the ocean, the Kohala Mountains, Mauna Kea, and Mauna
Loa. Upon reaching Paniolo country, the 21-speed mountain bikes and helmets are
unloaded and the adventure resumes on bicycle.
With its mild rolling hills, the ride is well-suited for beginners and the avid
cyclist. The 12 mile journey begins in the old sugar cane town of Honoka’a and
winds through this quaint little town known for its historical country charm and
antique shops. The ride continues along the tree-lined road of Kukuihaele with
fantastic views of the Hamakua Coast. The final destination is Waipio Valley
Lookout where guests enjoy a resort prepared picnic lunch and breathtaking views
of famous Waipio Valley. After lunch, the Red Sail Sports team is ready to whisk
the adventurers back to the hotel to continue their Hawaiian-style vacation.

Kayak Excursion
Take a guided Kayak Tour through Waiulua Bay in 1 or 2 man kayaks along the
rugged Kohala Coast to Honoka'ope. Snorkel equipment, snack and bottled water
are provided. Space is limited to 6 guests per day. Trip is subject to marine
conditions
